Super Heavy duty cushioned ceramic clutches are made by riveting a ceramic facing to a marcel segment, then rivetted to a solid centre or sprung centre clutch plate.

The cushioning between the segmented ceramic facings allows this style of clutch to have a good engagement feel while providing the benefits associated with ceramic material.
