At extreme power levels, the 2JZ-GTE is pushed beyond what Toyota engineers ever imagined. When you’re cranking 2,000+ horsepower and revving past 10,000 RPM, the timing system faces forces that can rip the tensioner stud straight out of the front cover. If you’re making that kind of power, this is the bracket you need to keep everything in place—because the stock setup won’t survive.
