In the world of high-horsepower fasteners, you typically have two choices: standard chromoly studs (good for ~800hp) or exotic super-alloy studs like Custom Age 625+ (good for 2000hp+, but with an eye-watering price tag). For most serious Barra builds, the standard stud is too weak, but the 625+ is overkill on the wallet.
H13 Tool Steel matches CA625 strength. Our H13 studs are rated to ~270,000 psi tensile strength—effectively identical to the ~260-280k psi rating of ARP CA625+ studs. The difference? You can buy an Atomic kit for nearly one-third of the price.
We filled the gap in the market by manufacturing our studs from H13 Tool Steel. To guarantee maximum fatigue resistance, our threads are cold-rolled rather than cut, and the entire stud undergoes a specialized heat-treatment process to lock in superior structural integrity. This material offers exceptional thermal stability and tensile strength, making it perfect for high-boost applications where head lift is a constant threat. Plus, we added features usually reserved for the most expensive kits, like external hex drives for easy installation.
We build engines, so we know the frustration of installing studs with only an Allen key slot. We fixed that.
