High Performance Cams for EJ20 WRX STI with AVCS (Versions 6 onwards)
This range of Kelford high performance camshafts is to suit the Version 6+ EJ20 engines with Subaru's awesome AVCS (Active Valve Control System).
This range of camshafts feature high velocity lobes that have a wider 'sweep' across the cam bucket, therefore these camshafts can only be used on shimless buckets or buckets that have the shim underneath. These profiles cannot run on the earlier 1999-2001 Version 5-6 buckets that have the shim on top.
In addition to our catalogue range, we can manufacture custom cams to your specifications, or design a profile to suit your specific application.
Please note that the correct valve spring selection will depend on the installed height in your particular cylinder heads. Please contact us to discuss the correct valve spring selection.
Please note, these cams are easily identified by the triggers on the rear of the intake cams, they are machined to have four protruding 'paddle wheel' style triggers. If your engine has the three 'keyway / slot' style triggers, you need to see our EJ25 range with the R-199 part numbers.

256° high torque cams to suit near stock engines. Excellent throttle response. Ideal in 36mm restrictor rally classes. Suits small frame 46-54mm turbo. Kelford Cams recommend valve spring upgrade KVS109-STI. Paddle/tooth style trigger on rear of intake cams. AVCS on intake only.or classes.
264&260/260 Degrees advertised duration. 10.70mm&10.20mm/10.20mm lift. To suit Subaru EJ20 WRX Version 6-10 AVCS.
High lift 264° Race and Rally camshafts. Great throttle response and improved mid-range power. Suits turbo sizing 54-60mm. Must use shimless buckets. Kelford Cams recommend valve spring upgrade KVS1847-BT. Paddle/tooth style trigger on rear of intake cams. AVCS on intake only.
272&268/268 Degrees advertised duration. 11.30mm&10.50mm/10.50mm lift. To suit Subaru EJ20 WRX Version 6-10 AVCS.
High lift 272° racing cams suitable for most motorsport applications. Suits well built competition engines running 58-66mm turbo. Great with E85 fuel. Requires cylinder head modification to fit high lift cam lobes. Must use shimless buckets. Kelford Cams recommend valve spring upgrade KVS1847-BT. Paddle/tooth style trigger on rear of intake cams. AVCS on intake only.
282&278/278 Degrees advertised duration. 11.50mm&11.00mm/11.00mm lift. To suit Subaru EJ20 WRX Version 6-10 AVCS. High Lift 282 degree duration racing cams.
High lift 282° racing camshafts. Best suited to wide open throttle and high rpm power motorsport applications. Suits well built competition engines running 64-72mm turbo and larger intake manifold. Great with E85 fuel. Requires cylinder head modification to fit high lift cam lobes. Must use shimless buckets. Kelford Cams recommend valve spring upgrade KVS1847-BT. 292&288/294 Degrees advertised duration. 11.00mm&11.00mm/11.00mm lift. To suit Subaru EJ20 WRX Version 6-10 AVCS.
290° camshafts to suit high boost, high rpm Drag Racing engines. Ported head with +1mm valves. 67mm+ turbo. Fuel type E85 or methanol. Must be run with fixed cam timing, AVCS delete. Kelford Cams recommend valve spring upgrade KVS1847-BT. Paddle/tooth style trigger on rear of intake cams.
