The RB30 originally featured in the Nissan HR31 and the Holden VL Commodore in Single Overhead Cam (SOHC) configuration. The RB30 has significant downfalls surrounding the harmonics of the crankshaft and integrity of the connecting rod and piston combination. To this end, Nitto saw the opportunity to advance this area of the industry and not only create a kit of billet components, but increase the capacity as well. Much like we have in other areas. These components held a series of world records.
As such, the RB30 3.2L stroker kit has become our flagship kit, that spearheads our range of components. With the use of the RB32 centred largely around drag racing, the vast majority of the world's quickest and fastest GTRs and RB powered vehicles employ the services of our 3.2L stroker kits. In this area of our website, we present to you the standard connecting rod journal 3.2L stroker kits, which are extremely popular in a vast multitude of street cars and drag cars in the like.
The kit consists of our Nitto/CP pistons in a whole array of bore sizes. These pistons are cut from low silicon content 2618 material in CP’s Turbo HD forging. In addition to these, the pistons are complete with Nitto custom specifications, PVD rings, 9310 gudgeon pins, accumulator grooves and friction reduction grooves.
The connecting rods are our robust I-beam design. Made from double melted forged billet 4340, this connecting rod features a stout I-beam design that has proven time and again to be capable of holding considerably high power without the added cost of the V2s. These connecting rods come with 7/16 ARP 2000 rod bolts as standard, with the option to upgrade to Custom Age 625+.
Completing the kit is the 4340 billet crankshaft in 90mm stroke. This crankshaft has been purposely designed with strength and high power applications in mind. The crankshafts are an immaculate piece with precision manufactured knife edging to reduce weight and cut through crank case oil mist with ease. This enables the crankshaft to rev freely and easily.
