"Luke Explains" 

I bought the Rona as a rolling shell from Kristian in 2016 and had ET Chassis fab up a roll cage over the Christmas break. Due to another XT130 build I was in the middle of, this one sat on the back burner for the next 18 months.

In July 2017 the build finally gained some momentum with a trip to Goleby’s for the built motor and hot side fab, It then came back to ET for the diff and tubs.

Next Phase was to install a Powerglide from Gilroy's Race Transmissions and the rest of the fab work.

This first build was with standard intake and a precision 6766 which i achieved 702rwhp at 43psi and a 9.28 quarter mile pass only the 2^nd time on track, but with super high intake temps and a not ideal convertor it was clear some things needed to be changed to safely run the 8 the car was built for.

At the beginning of 2022 the 6766 was swapped out for a 6870, a Plazmaman intake manifold was also added and all intercooler pipes upgraded from 2.5” to 3” which resulted in 836rwhp at 36psi. The gearbox was also treated to some billet gears and a converter tweak has it ready for the track.
