Rhys's 1JZ Nissan 350z
Built in house by Car Shop Tanoshi, with the primary goal of winning grass roots level competitions - the third stage of Project Zulu came from a desire to learn, and to win.
There’s a big list of ‘firsts’ with this build. First engine swap. First Paint. First wiring harness, just to name a few. We’re incredibly proud of that.
Other objectives with this build included being capable of running all day passenger lap events, as well as multiple day Matsuri’s with minimal downtime. On consultation with some of Australia’s most respected competition drifters, the power goal of 330kw was set to achieve a good compromise between reliability and performance with the Toyota 1JZ VVTi.
